Revive Spa Frequently Asked Questions Phoenix

FAQ's

Is there such a thing as 'Spa Etiquette'?
Yes. To ensure that you and those around you obtain the full benefits of our spa, please keep in mind the following etiquette tip; arrive prior to your treatment's scheduled time.

You'll want to get the most out of your spa experience. Arriving late will cheat you of precious minutes of your treatment. Remember that your treatment will end on time so the next guest isn't delayed, regardless of how late you start. Respect other guests. Our spa environment is one of tranquility and relaxation, so please respect the right to privacy and quiet of other guests. No cell phones please.

How early should I arrive for my spa treatment?
Arrive a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes prior to your first appointment, to allow yourself ample time to change, put personal effects in a locker, and familiarize yourself with our facility. We recommend you shower and begin to relax by using the whirlpool, steam or sauna before your appointment.

Are there medical benefits to visiting our spa?
The number one guaranteed benefit of visiting our spa is your immersion in a relaxing, stress reducing environment. Stress reduction is one of the major contributors to good health. In addition, many of our spa treatments are geared toward easing aches and pains of many varieties.

Should I visit the spa if I'm pregnant?
Yes, by all means. Our therapists are fully trained to safely provide special treatments and services during pregnancy. We advise you on treatments to avoid using deep pressure or involving heat.

What do I need to bring?
For the fitness facilities, the only essentials are appropriate workout clothes and sneakers. You'll receive a robe and slippers to wear between treatments, and a locker for your personal belongings. Our locker facilities are well appointed with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, as well as many other amenities. Bring a bathing suit if you plan to take a dip in our co-ed pool. Whirlpool, steam room and sauna are not co-ed.

Can I wear makeup?
You're welcome to wear makeup, but it will be removed before certain treatments, such as facials.

Can I request a male or female therapist?
Yes. Our therapists are highly trained in draping techniques to ensure your comfort at all times.

Should I take my jewelry off?
Please do not bring any valuables to the spa.

Is there someone to help me decide what treatments are best for me?
A Spa Coordinator can help you plan a program to suit your needs and interests. Please make appointments well in advance of your visit to ensure availability.

How many types of massage are there, and how do I choose the right one for me?
There are at least six popular massage techniques - from classic Swedish to Hot Stone. A Spa Coordinator can help you decide on the right one for you if you explain your goals. Do you want to simply relax, for example, or relieve muscular tension?

Can I ask the therapist to adjust certain things to increase my comfort?
Definitely. It's your time, and you should enjoy the experience. Ask to adjust the music, for example, or the amount of pressure applied during your massage.

Is there a limit to the number of spa treatments I should plan in one day?
No, however, three hours of treatment is usually recommended in one day. Don't over schedule. Leave quiet time to enjoy other amenities offered around our spa, such as a fitness workout, a dip in the pool, or a relaxing steam and sauna.

Can I eat lunch while at the spa?
We have a wonderful Spa Bistro available for breakfast, lunch, light snacks, and smoothies. We can schedule time during your visit for a relaxing lunch, or you may enjoy one of our refreshing beverages, poolside.

Should I alert someone if I have any physical ailments, disabilities or allergies?
Absolutely! In particular, if you have high blood pressure, suffer from allergies, or are pregnant, inform a Spa coordinator when booking your appointments. The consumption of alcohol before, during or directly after spa treatments is not recommended.

Can I use the spa if I do not have a treatment scheduled?
Yes. We have a daily spa facility charge of $25. If you would like to use the Health Club only, the daily charge is $8. Daily facility charges are included in the price of our treatments.
